Pedneau
I am new to the forum and I am sure this is somewhere within the topics. Any help would be appreciated. A little history, I own a 2007 Subaru Legacy w/ 2.5 H4 SOHC and 57,000 miles. I just had the head gaskets and sparkplugs replaced. I had the expensive head gasket oil (no coolant) leak. Took it on a road trip and averaged 30 miles to the gallon. After returning home and putting gas in the car, I got a CEL and flashing cruise control warning lights. Checked it with my Actron and received the P2097 post cat fuel trim sys too rich bank1 code. I then checked the live data, my Cat is running temp is 800+ degrees, the upstream o2 is 3 volts the downstream is .8 volts. Any ideas what it could be or should I check something else in the live data?
Fairtax4me
Cat running hot would be due to unburned fuel in the exhaust. Thing is, your cat is running a bit cool, if the temperature reading you have is in degrees Fahrenheit. And assuming its accurate.
Pedneau
Does that mean my sub is running rich or is there a problem in the ignition system. I don't have a fuel smell coming from the exhaust or any smoke and it is not chugging.
