idosubaru
get the gates kits off of amazon or rock auto. importexperts has good parts and sells on ebay. EJ25 and EJ22 tensioner, water pump, and pulleys and oil pumps are all identical. so you simply buy the kit that has the timing belt you want. the only difference is that the tensioner change around 1997, but that goes for EJ25's and EJ22's - there's a new style (1997 and up) tensioner and an old style tensioner. they are even interchangeable by swapping the bracket (2 or 3 bolts) they attach too. the old style tensioners are more reliable and generaly dont' need replaced. but they're getting old too. the new style tensioners are now much cheaper than they were a few years ago so it just makes sense to replace them. someone just had one fail last week that was brand new aftermarket. i'd stick with the gates kits. idosubaru
looks decent, i've used them before mutliple times without issue. brown oil seal and green bearing seals look like OEM. reuse the bolts in the car for the tensioner, i don't like the supplied bolts in the kits. i generally lean towards the Gates kits. theimportexpert kits (on ebay) are excellent quality but price has gone up substantially over the years, they used to be well priced, around the lowest. el_freddo
I've looked up part numbers of kits on rockauto, then dropped this number on fleabay motors in the US to see what comes up.Had I have known about importexperts I would have purchased through them. The kit turned out to be really good, I was happy - and it cost me about half of what I could get a kit here in Oz for, including postage!CheersBennie
