disom93
Randomly the steering wheel on my 80 brat will shimmy like when going down road. Is this tie rod ends or what?

Dj7291993
Is it most common when braking, accelerating, or cuising? If it's when braking, you're most likely looking at warped rotors. Rotors on these are pretty cheap since there's not much to them. You could change them now, or wait 'till your pads wear out.
the sucker king
out of balance tire is a common cause if you get up to speed and it starts shaking. check to see if you threw a weight.
TheYeti
out of balance tire is a common cause if you get up to speed and it starts shaking. check to see if you threw a weight. If this doesn't fix the issue, check your axels. Axels/worn CV joints can also cause some shaking in the wheel as well.
TheWanderer
Another item to check that is often overlooked is your wheel bearings. Every Subaru I've owned seemed to lunch wheel bearings in short order (I swear they eat em for breakfast), and they all tended to shimmy shake a bit. My Legacy had wheel bearings with 1.5" of play in em on the front, and my gawd was that awful to drive above 30 mpg lol
