Prwa101
New axle Design, General Disorder was telling me about them the other day at the shop. If this is legit that's a huge increase in strength and lift capability! 50% over OEM. Oem can handle about 2" of sturt lift, this would mean itd Handel 3" with no sub frame drop! http://www.heriautomotive.com/marketing

CNY_Dave
Looks like it uses the 'outer' joint style for the inner and outer joints, cool.

Prwa101
I know right! Not compleatly sure about the price, I heard they'd be around $95 each.. But that's what GD would buy them for, not sure about customer costs. I'll talk to him more tomarrow see what's up.
Loyale 2.7 Turbo
And ea82 axles too. If they outlast the OEM ones on Lifted Subies, they will be Beyond Awesome! So, who will test 'em First?
l75eya
In their catalogue, 92776 is the part number for 23 spline. 92775 is 25.

TheLoyale
I am now very intrigued by these. These may just be better than the EMPIs I've been running. I hope more info gets posted. Perhaps I will email them for details.

Fairtax4me
Split my 3rd inner axle boot in the past year today. Which could be because I keep using junkyard axles and $5 boot kits... but still starting to get on my nerves a bit. Cv grease on a hot cat stinks something bad! I'd be interested in a set for the front for sure if they can handle even more of a lift than I currently have.
lvsarge
Those look interesting. I'd buy a set just to try them.

Gloyale
Split my 3rd inner axle boot in the past year today. Move the clips inboard a bit so the boot isn't so stretched.
pontoontodd
Move the clips inboard a bit so the boot isn't so stretched. Or just leave the small end unstrapped, especially if you don't spend a lot of time in deep water.
Prwa101
So update on the axels, these are the only ones that have the slip yoke. So 2000+. But they do sell new normal axels that work for the older stuff. Price will be around $150 ea. still worth it! And if your swap your old stuff over to newer could be quite a machine! There the same number for each years. Regular HERI # Slip Yoke HERI # 92100 22100 92505 22505 92200 22200 92276 22276
Fairtax4me
2000+ axles have different spline count on the inner right? The next phase for my car will likely involve an automagic trans, so ill keep this in mind. Move the clips inboard a bit so the boot isn't so stretched. This I will definitely try. Gloyale
If they fit 2000+ they should fit the 90-99 Legacy/Impreza/Forrester too.......Just need to knock the ABS tone ring off. Damn.....really need them for EA81 rears....

How do the stock axles usually fail (torn boots, clicking)?
Prwa101
Front or rear? How do the stock axles usually fail (torn boots, clicking)? BF? So im assuming Back and Front? The newer EJ style are stronger than the older EA which is much weaker. EA style come outa the box clicking sometimes. EJ die when a boot is tor, but the main application im looking at this new slip joint axle is lifting my forester with no sub frame drop. Stock Oem axles on my forester can handle around 2" of lift on the struts this would allow much more.
