thatswhatshesaid
So I bought an 05 Outback XT today in Baltimore. Rolling into Pittsburgh (on my way back to Spokane, WA) and my turbo goes kaboom. I need to get this thing parked STAT. if there's anyone who can help me find a safe place to park my car and/or a good local Subaru mechanic, I'll be eternally grateful. I'm 2300 miles from home and I need to be to work Wednesday evening. I'm royally boned right now. If anyone knows someone who can help a Subaru brother out, please let me know. 509-953-614one I can compensate any saviors in cash/beer/hugs/whatever. idosubaru
davebugs lives just north of pburgh in Apollo and knows many automotive places in the area, message/PM him? what do you need? I don't know what "I need to get this thing parked STAT" means? I live an hour+ away and free time is nearly non-existent mostly due to 3 young children, one just born. thatswhatshesaid
I just meant that i need to park it, rather than continue to drive it and risk getting metal shavings in the intake...

bratman18
Unfortunately a common problem with the 05 Legacy models with a turbo. Good luck with it! And be cautious. It's very common for the motor to go soon after the turbo.
