buckkiller
Well found a 1983 that I feel needs to be saved! It has some damage on the passenger side door and is in need of a front bumper but the undercarriage is CLEAN and the rest of the body is in decent shape, has the original 1.8 and trans that runs and shifts well. The money saved will go a long way towards restoration.....PAID $900.00 Thanks Buck Edited March 14, 2014 by buckkiller

suprjohn
That seems like a pretty good deal! Are the fenders and doors interchangeable with the sedans? Will they be hard to find? John
Subruise
fenders will work off any gen 2. coupe/hatch doors will work but brat glass is exclusive to that model
buckkiller
Fenders are fine and will not need to be replaced, the door skin should be able to be saved ill let ya know once I have a body man take a look at her.

el_freddo
That's a score mate! I bet there will be some jealous members out there about the price you paid and the jump seats you've got with it!!!I wish we got those instrument clusters from the factory in the Brumby/BRAT - we only got them in some sedans and the coupes; some of the early touring wagons have them instead of the digi dash too.CheersBennie

buckkiller
Good score! The wheels on it are a find as well. Why? What brand are they? are they factory wheel.... Buck
jonas
I've only seen those wheels a couple of times over the few years I've been here. It's all in the bolt pattern.
Indrid cold
Great find! Just in case you hadn't figured out what the straps are for behind the seats, and yes, this is kind of a no-Duh they are to secure the roof glass after you take them out. Keep them baby's protected. Keep the seals around the glass treated so they don't bake hard and leak water. That Brat will turn some heads cruzing with your hands in the air! I have an 84, exact same color, (no decal). I have been pulling into rest areas with my Brat and I heard someone say, "O.M.G., it's a Brat!" another time a young girl asked, "what is it? It's so cute!" Pop them T-top open and it turns heads. Enjoy... you have a nice find. Talk to Jerry, Bratsrus1 about his 5-spd tranny kit, he is just North of you, you can put a 5-sp in and it makes a great highway rig. Where ever this Aug. Subaru show will be, bring it to the show. Edited March 15, 2014 by Indrid cold

rdweninger
yes, Calmasters. I have the same wheels on my '85 wagon. Although, my chrome is starting to peel.
buckkiller
Well the 200 mile drive home was fun, Brat drove straight and true down the road 65-70 mph no shakes but the car does have a miss during idle. The front driver side fender & passenger door will be better if replaced, trying to avoid using mud as much as possible. The t-tops do not leak....the dash is cracked so will be looking for replacement. The seats don't look like factory brat seats to me ill post pics of them tonight. thanks Buck Edited March 17, 2014 by buckkiller

buckkiller
Heads up, there are 2 brats at the Junk yard up the road from you with doors, in Ellensburg M$M Wrecking something like that Scored a perfect Dash from one of them not a single tear, front driver side fender, passenger door.... now on the door its a newer brat and doesn't have the middle molding but it looks to have the same ridge down the middle....does the strip just rivit on? Took newer seat belts, a really neat gas door, front bumper has been painted but I'm thinking of strippong it down to the plastic and Rhino lining it. Since I was there I grabbed the bucket seats, and some other odd ends. Thanks again for the tip buck I'll post pics tomorrow Edited March 21, 2014 by buckkiller

Nope not the silver one that one was bought by a gent from BC for 4k the seller had agreed to sell it to me by the end of last week for 3k if it didnt sell. Here are the pics of some of the parts pulled from the brats in Ellensburg Junk yard, will take a few of the dash. Looks like my father is taking the 83 so only will have one.
