bobecky
compared to all other cars we have owned the brightness of the speedometer & odometer cluster leaves much room for improvement even after turning control to highest point. Dealer service says cannot improve. Does anyone else feel the same way?
1 Lucky Texan
hmmm...normally, I'd suggest folks pretend to shop for another one to compare to their own new car. But, how could you do this at night? I suppose they could all be dimmer than you'd prefer. But, suppose yours really has a poor ground or bad control module for the the instrument lighting? maybe you could find some kind soul with another new Forester in your neighborhood that would let you take a quick look inside their car some night? Fairtax4me
Go to a dealer just before dark. Most sales departments are open until 8 or 9pm. Just ask a sales person to let you look in one to compare. Edited March 20, 2014 by Fairtax4me
Loyale 2.7 Turbo
If there is Nothing they can do and you still want more illumination, why don't you change the Bulbs with High Power, multiple tip LED bulbs? ... I've done it to many cars, including my Subaru "BumbleBeast" see: It used to be Blurry and Dark, now is so Sharp and Bright, that I have to turn the Dimmer knob to the Minimum... Kind regards.
