M@nos_krt
Hi, I recently installed a simple electronic boost controller (reads only boost from engine, no revs or load etc... ) It works great from 2nd gear till 4th and keeps the desired pressure (0,4 bar) from low revs till high. The problem occurs on 5th medium to full load were the boost goes at 0,5bar and fuel cut hits. It may be controllers fault but I don't know if it happens because my internal wastegate was already preloaded before the controller installation to 0,450 bar (5th gear full load). Should I loosen it a bit?
presslab
You have boost creep. Try lengthening the wastegate rod a bit, maybe 1/2 turn. Your boost controller also must have some options for adjusting the gain. Do you have an aftermarket turbo back exhaust system?
M@nos_krt
Thank you for your reply. Back in 2005 the dealership fitted a turbocharger to the N/A ts and I think the same exhaust system was kept, except for the added uppipe and downpipe, which its the same diameter as the other parts.
