montana2
Just bought this 2001 Legacy wahon. Had it serviced +timing chain and water pump. 208000 miles. It frequently shifts erratically ? or bucks like starved for fuel. Sometimes runs like a dream though. What could be the cause? I have added seafoam thinkinh there could be water in fuel or other fuel problems. Montana2
cascadeclimbn
Any check engine lights? Have you noticed any decrease in power? Could be a fuel pump issue.
Rooster2
Do you think it is a tranny problem or an engine problem?? If when running well, does the tranny shift properly?? If so, I am with you that it may well be a fuel problem. Have you changed the fuel filter? If you think it is possibly a fuel problem with water in the fuel, then recommend you add 1 gallon of E-85 fuel to a full tank of gas. The ethanol in E-85 absorbs moisture to rid fuel tank of water. Doing this has helped me twice in the past year.
