d8usti5n
Been looking into getting 15 inch rims for my 1980 brat, so I have more tire options. Has any one here ever put 15's on a 1st gen without a lift? Any clearance issues, or any other issues?
spicypeanut
I'm following this, I've been wondering the same thing. Apparently my tire guy said the biggest tire I can put on my 13" wheel are 175/70/13. Which is pretty weak.
turbosubarubrat
15's can fit without a lift and it has been done before you just need low profile tires.
ironworkerboomer
I used 14 inch. The same size in a 15 would have been an inch taller and as you can see with no lift its full with the 14 and as soon as I money up getting these same size as pictured above BFGoodrich All-Terrain T/A KO Tire LT195/75R14 Just my 2cents compare with the stock 13 Edited May 13, 2014 by ironworkerboomer

bendecker
I have 14's on my 1981 (pug steelies) with 185/75/14 (about 3 inches larger than stock). They needed 1/2 spacers in the rear and longer lugs to miss rubbing on the torsion bars, though. Both are readily available on Ebay and elsewhere, but you'll probably need to drill a couple of holes in the spacers to make them work with our odd lug pattern.
