virginiaham
Im looking to swap Forester struts into my 1997 Legacy L Wagon, so i can clear some bigger wheels/tires. from what i gather from reading a few threads on here, the forester struts will either bolt right in, or i will have to use the forester struts and springs with the legacy mounts. So which is it? Thanks in advance for your help.
bratman18
They will be a direct bolt in for that year legacy, or any 95-99 legacy.
heartless
The complete Forester strut assemblies were a direct bolt in on my 95 Legacy, should also be direct for yours. Rears should be marked as to which side faces out - yes, it does matter on the rears. Fronts not so much I am running the 15" Forester wheels with 205/65R15 tires with zero rubbing issues (stock forester is 205/70R15 - this would have fit ok, but was mightly darn close when turning)
johnceggleston
what year forester struts? i doubt 2014 forester struts will bolt on, but the 98 - 02/3 will with no problem.
bratman18
98-08 forester struts will bolt on. Any 02-07 impreza, 95-99 legacy, or 98-08 forester will all bolt on to each other.
