l75eya
Anybody wants to throw some suggestions my way that'd be cool. Car had been running fine aside from running rich when cold (still have to set the choke properly). Started this morning, ran for about 30 seconds, stalled out. Won't restart. Took a look at it after work real quick, I've definitely got fuel. I've definitely got spark off the coil. Rotor rotates while cranking. I have the clip on type distributor cap. I'm thinking either pass side timing belt or timing skipped. One thing of note; occasionally while cranking the motor will very abruptly just stop turning and my dummy lights go out until I let go of the key. If I try to start it again sometime it will crank again normally or it might just click and not turn. Will keep posted. It's always something :-\ lol
Loyale 2.7 Turbo
... occasionally while cranking the motor will very abruptly just stop turning and my dummy lights go out until I let go of the key. If both timin' belts are OK, also everything else, look at the Tachometer needle and see if that jumps every time the starter turns; if not, it worth do an ignition module test, to verify if it is good. Kind Regards.
l75eya
Tach jumps when trying to start. I push started the car in 2nd gear today and it spent about 10 seconds bogging then about three minutes ruining rough while warming up. During this time I had clouds of light blue smoke coming out the pipe and it was so flooded with gas there were drops of fuel spitting out the exhaust. After it warmed up it was running fine though my idle was a little low. I'm thinking it may have just been flooded and having my timing advanced all the way to 20 degrees made it impossible to start. I'll see if it starts after work without touching the go pedal. The little run today confirmed Spark Fuel And timing.
