jono
Ever get them in the US ? Found an ad from UK Motor magazine 1986 with a test of a FWD sedan mpfi EA82 5 speed , disc rear, rubber spoiler at rear, rubber skirt at front and 10:1 comp ratio mentioned in specs and write up. Badged as a GTi Not many EA82's left in the UK, almost a rare thing in the first place from the sound of it. Wonder what 10:1 pistons looked like ? KootenayJK
Pretty sure the only MPFI EA82 n/a we got here was the 9.5:1 compression.
offroadsubaruguy
I'm guessing more of a flat top piston, instead of the dished pistons in the U.S. model... Would be kinda nice to get ahold of some though.....
jono
thought only turbos were dished, carbs flat topped ?
LucasP
thought only turbos were dished, carbs flat topped ? I just rebuilt my 87 sedan, webber carb with the original engine. It had and currently has flat tops in it. No dish like any low comp piston has.
offroadsubaruguy
It's been a long time since I had an ea motor apart I'm my garage, I apologize for the miss information, I thought the n/a motors had a small amount of dish to the pistons....
