bh3025
is there any way that I can use the airbag struts and put coilover springs in them. tear the bladder off, take the strut assembly apart and insert the coil over, put the strut together and mount it on my vehicle for a temporary fix? where the coilover will sit is in between two metal bushings upper and lower. I would just like some feed back on this idea since searching it on the interwebs isn't turning anything up. driving an 89 xt6, stock air ride suspension.. skishop69
I doubt the springs would stay in place. If you look at regular struts, the upper and lower perches are formed to hold the springs and evenly distribute the load on the coil. Without the formed sections, the springs would pop out. Search air suspension. I know there are several write ups on which GL struts will work direct bolt in from a PnP.
