OTTO69 Posted August 8, 2014 Share Posted August 8, 2014 OK well i just received this Subaru gl for 140 bucks the intake bolt snapped while the previous owner was trying to get to something. i can deal with the bolt. but the engine turns over very nicely by hand. The previous owned parked the car were the said it then overheated. and just shut off. IS MY MOTOR TOAST? DEAD? were the hell do i find a 1983 subaru 1.8 liter if i need a engine>? If you're in the northwest, I'm sure there are at least 10 junkyards within a day's drive of your location that have at least one engine. If you're in the midwest, good luck. If you're in the southwest, start scrounging, but expect for someone to have to ship you something. If you're in the east, well, this place is your best friend.
