stewartkb
Was wondering if anyone had part numbers for suspension parts for a 1st gen brat. Anything you can think of, I want to get the project at least drive-able and I plan to replace everything. Thanks in advance.
Subieguy
Front struts: Good luck! Rear shocks: have to do some hunting to find them. Most of the rubber bushings are still available through Subaru. Ball joints, tie rod ends. Still available.
sjschlag
I've heard the 2nd Gen struts will work but the front end will sit ~1-2" lower.
82GLWag
Awesome. I hope that's true! I have brand new KYBs for a ea81 wagon and I just got a '79 brat that needs struts and lowering can any one confirm that?

Dirk
Yup, I have Gen 2 struts on my Gen 1 sedan. Indeed it sits a little lower. Also the struts are from a Brat so they have adjustable height. New struts are not easy to find but I did manage to find damper inserts for them. Sorry, can't remember the product code but I think they are from Monoroe. Rear dampers have been a reall mission for me. There are codes that exist for the replacement parts but no one seems to carry them here in NZ. I have found a small company that supply 'GAZ' dampers (google it). GAZ have adjustable rebound and compression. I have been meaning to buy a pair for a while. If I do this month I will let you know how I get on. Cheers Dirk
