Minipro13
I was wondering what all do you have to do to lift a 1990 Subaru loyal turbo (ea82t) any help is appreciated!
Prwa101
How big are you looking for? A 2" lift is just a spacer in the front and rear. Plus or minus the 1" crossmember drop.
Minipro13
Im thinking 4 inch, is there anyone one here that can build one? Cause the srj lifts are $
Prwa101
4" kits run about 500 easy. I'm starting my kits up but still working on the 2". I do however have some 4" rear lift brackets I'd sell
Loyale 2.7 Turbo
... A 2" lift is just a spacer in the front and rear. Plus or minus the 1" crossmember drop. ...add the extension for the Steering Shaft. Kind Regards.
Prwa101
^^ my bad! 1" subframe drop needs a stearing extension. And also with any lift where you drop the subframe. Edited August 17, 2014 by Prwa101
djellum
2 inch is the easy one. strut blocks front and rear and 1"+ subframe drop unless you don't put enough miles on it to stress your axles (also possibly a steering extension depending on what you have). I have a 2 inch without the sub drop and I have changed a ton of axles. the axles themselves hold up well but the boots don't, even with the lower band loosened and moved up. 4 inch will need a lot more, lowering the rear end, perhaps changes in brake lines, steering extension for sure, engine cables and hoses, much more complicated on the blocks to stay away from the strut tower. also bracing between some of the blocks to hold everything in place. if your asking such a question id stick with a 2 inch unless its a wheeler only or fun car you don't need to get to work. ferces
My friends, how to drop the subframe for a 2" lift kit? Pictures please, I got a lift kit not installed yet because I use my Loyale daily doing at least 20 miles per day.
Loyale 2.7 Turbo
Welcome! / ¡Bienvenido! My friends, how to drop the subframe for a 2" lift kit? ... We use a Spacer for the Engine Crossmember, so it drops the Drivetrain, in order to keep the front Axles as straight as we could, otherwise the axles will wear 10X faster. Post photos of your Colombian Subie, we love photos here. Kind Regards.
