argonsoon
I have an 84 subaru GL-10 that i love to death but cant seem to fix its idling problem, On cold starts it does just fine (most of the time) however once it gets warmed up it refuses to idle correctly and just dies on me, i end having to switch it into nuetral at stops and keep the RPM's up with the gas. Its a really annoying problem. can anyone point me in the right direction?
djellum
start with some checks, make sure to find out what the problem is before you start replacing things. check fuel pressure, timing, and check for vacuum leaks. also hook up a vacuum gauge and see what it does and how much vacuum there is. a vacuum gauge will tell you a lot, just look up the list of symptoms on google so you can interpret it. BEECHBM69
I had to do some searching for my own idle issues recently. Check out this post: http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/forum/topic/146958-help-ea81-second-gen-brat-does-not-want-to-idle/?p=1234260 Simple thing to check that seems to get overlooked before people start messing with settings. (Myself included.) Good luck. Dan
