jmoss5723
Have any plans of making gen2 stuff? I know people lift brats and other gen2 cars all the time. I wouldn't mind having the blocks for the rear of my brat. Right now I have the front struts topped and the crossmembers lowered, but the rear just has the torsion bar cranked. EDIT: Oops. I just saw post #3. Please disregard. Edited August 29, 2014 by jmoss5723

dannycisneros
I was the first to order a lift I got the two inch lift with the subframe drop that is pictured above. It was shipped two days ago on Wednesday and I received it already today. Very good quality! Patrick even labeled everything from the blocks to the hardware and wrote up instructions to do it so if you're a newbie like me it really helps! Lift will be on my GL soon just need to get some wheels and tires first. Pictures will be coming soon!
Prwa101
Thats the plan! But better, i want to make the ea81's able to run ea82 axels and from crossmember with offset blocks. This will increase the axles streangth over the ea81s. Are you looking for a 6 or 8" lift bud? Any plans on making full 6 or 8 inch kits for ea81's? Glad to hear it!! Looking forward to seeing it!! Prwa101
Yeah there's a pretty big difference between stock and lifted just 2". Currently helping him build his 4" lift w/ 4" subframe drop to keep axels as stock geometry. Edited September 1, 2014 by Prwa101

jmoss5723
Would you be willing to make a .75" front/1" rear EJ kit out of HDPE? Enough material for front and back can be had from Amazon for like $40. I don't know what you want to charge for your time, but I have to imagine that it would be way faster than steel. The material cuts like butter. I'd buy 2 if the price is right. I was goingto make my own becasue everyone's steel kits are out of my price range (read: my wife's price range) and I can make it with the band saw, hole saw, and drill press. But I'd be happy to save the effort and time and buy the kits if I can afford them.
Prwa101
I would but HDPE isn't strong enough for this application in my eyes. I've seen HDPE spacers and I'm not impressed by putting plastic spacer on my strut. Primitive sells the HDPE spacers and they charge 209$. My EJ spacers are threaded through the holes so you bolt the block to the top of the strut then bolt it to the frame. The HDPE spacers I saw have bolts imbedded in them. So the options for that are use a bolt and drill the hole large so it slides through or imbed a nut in there. And my spacers are Cnc laser cut for percussion. Mine won't melt if your car catches on fire haha. Why pay more for less? I can guarantee you won't ever destroy them like you could HDPE. Caboobaroo
Patrick, we should get together one of these days as I have a few ideas for performance stuff for EA82s and XTs including a new bell housing to bolt an EJ transmission to an EA/ER engine. My father in law lives out past Sandy and my wife and I head out there every couple weeks so it wouldn't be hard for me to stop by.
