AdventureSubaru
Unless the car is sustaining a number of places where structural integrity can be questioned, it's usually a pretty easy trip to a local welder to ad some structural rigidity. Those rear strut towers did rust out but I've seen a number of them repaired with a couple chunks of steel and some welding. I've used a few local welders off of craigslist for similar jobs before I learned to weld myself. If you were local, I'd offer to do the job for you for a pizza and a 12 pack of soda. AdventureSubaru
can you get a few pics of the rusted area?
RXJ
thanks the car is in Vermont, wish I'd taken pics I spent some time, (not enough) trying to figure where it could be rewelded / reworked I searched but didn't find anything info here... does anyone or do you, A.S.,have pics of a repair? Too much work and luv has gone into this vehicle to send it to the scrap yard Looking for encouraging news (will try to get pics but I'm 4 hrs away now) Many thanks
