its_masters
I drive a 1998 Legacy Outback Limited, and I've noticed that in first gear, when I get up to 4.5-5k rpms that my engine will sound like it hits the rev limiter and lose some power. Shifting cures it of course. I haven't tried in other gears but it does it in neutral too. It sometimes will not do it, but sometimes it will. What could be my problem? I do have a CEL for the code P0463. Could that be effecting it? I also have a minor gas leak that I haven't got around to fixing yet that could also be at fault. My Speedo and odometer also doesn't work. Gas gauge works when it wants to. Thanks for any help in advance!

its_masters
Fuel cut because speedometer sensor is not working. replace the speedo sensor on the side of the transmission thank you! I've been wondering for a while what it could be. I was about to do the Speedo head or replace the whole thing. But I'll take out the sensor and have a look.
