Tye
Hey everybody, I just got a 1990 Subaru Loyale a few days ago (will post pictures soon), while driving the check engine light turned on. It turns out it is a ISC Solenoid Valve Fault. I'm just wondering if anybody else has had this problem and what you guys did to fix it. EDIT; my bad guys, i was looking at the wrong codes After looking at the correct codes the problem is in fact the Idle Air Control Valve or Circuit. stratman977
The factory manual has logic to diagnose the circuit for that code. Just follow the logic in the manual. The engine light just detects an electrical fault, its not any more sofisticated than that. Theres a link to a copy of the manual on here somewhere just can't find it at the moment. Gloyale
What was the code #? ISC solenoid doesn't sound right......not sure what you mean? There are 3 solenoids on that car.... Fast Idle...(FICD in subaru manual) EGR solenoid Fuel Vent Solenoid.

86 Wonder Wedge
What did it end up being? Bad valve or wiring problem?
Tye
Sorry for the late response, It ended up being a wiring problem, one of the wires was just seperated. Nothing a little soldering cant fix!!
