tbolt1003
My '95 Impreza is completely stock, 2.2, auto, 132,000 miles. She's my daily driver and love it. While I can hear that distinct Boxer rumble from about 2500-3500rpm, I'm kinda craving a little more without breaking the bank. The sound produced by the WRX and STi puts a smile on my face. I'm not expecting to get that much sound from my 2.2, but are there any simple mods I can do? I found a shop that makes UEL headers for the 93-96 Impreza. Just curious what's available. If there's not much I can do, I can live with that, no worries. Thanks!
jmoss5723
Get an exhaust leak! DOT does it for free around here every winter
bratman18
95 will have dual exhaust ports, so you could just buy an eBay UEL header made for a 2.5 non turbo and that would help a lot. Part it with a louder muffler and you'll get the sound you're looking for.

UEL header stands for "unequal lengthy Header," which producers the thump, thump, thump sound in the exhaust system of a WRX, you like to hear.
