Stevo F
Thinking about getting the driving light install kit for my new Impreza. Wondering if they'll do a lot of good for me. Looks like since they illuminate the area right in front of you better, they may be better for driving in fog or falling snow (where high beams just reflect back at you). My biggest issue with night driving (and will soon be doing a lot more of that with the days getting shorter) is all the deer we have around here- not sure it would help me see them better. In any case I like the look of the lights mounted on the car (vs. the blank that's installed in the holes for them now)- just not sure it's worth $270 unless they improve visibility. monstaru
buy a set of 27w LED lights off of the Bay of E and install those. Cleaner light and brighter .Don't ever do factory stuff like that. The price does not make it worth it. cheers

I assume I can still get these separately, outside of the complete kit that Subaru sells
mtsmiths
Yes they do help, especially in fog or blowing snow. And no, don't do the Subaru kit, get the dash parts and relay and cobble the rest together. THe replacement bulbs for our Outback are just shy of $100.00 each. Still on the originals, but when they go they won't be replaced with OEM.
