ragingbull
I have a 86 Brat and it's having a hard time starting but once she starts she's running no problems. I think it's the pump as it looks really old.. I'm seeing lots of different styles of fuel pumps but none of them look stock to me.. Here's a list from rock auto.. http://www.rockauto.com/catalog/x,carcode,1267758,parttype,6256

jono
why blame the pump by its looks ? Before you try next cold start look at sight glass on side of carby to see where level is in fuel bowl. It is the fuel supply - when you think about it, if it is correct level engine should start and run until that small supply has run out. No need even for a pump until it drains or dries up ! ragingbull
I'd try that for sure but it's a Weber carb.. Can I check that some other way?
BirdMobile
I'd try that for sure but it's a Weber carb.. Can I check that some other way? I put a small clear fuel filter (Napa Gold 3002) in line just before my weber fuel inlet. Comes in handy to see if fuel is getting to the carb or not. ragingbull
I was checking out my carb (weber) today and noticed only one fuel jet was squirting fuel when I tugged on the throttle. Is this normal? Im guessing the second fuel jet engages when i hammer the gas pedal?
