ItsjustmeMike
I picked up a '92 Legacy Wagon Turbo a little while back, super cheap, low miles, (got it with 67,000km/41631mi) by an old guy go going blind which is pretty evident on the outside of the vehicle.... Anyway, I need a new water pump. Anybody know if the N/A engine water pump is the same as the turbo? Or is it different? His almighty holiness 'Google' hasn't been much help. In fact I'm more confused because there has been some mention of an oil cooler option as well... thoughts? Thanks.....
porcupine73
91-94 Legacy Turbo looks to call for 21111AA065 about $90 per subarupartsforyou.com. That would be for U.S. spec vehicle but it seems likely Canadian spec would be the same on this part? In the diagram it looks like there is an extra nipple on the return, the n/a's have just one nipple for the heater core/bypass return I think. 86BRATMAN
I'm pretty sure the 92-94 ej22t uses a different water pump than the 91s. The 91s were the only ones fitted with the factory oil cooler and use a different water pump because of that. But the NA water pump is also different and cannot be used because the thermostat housing part is pointed different, the NA model will interfere with the exhaust manifold.
