idosubaru
I have a Subaru digidash - unsure what it's for but I can't imagine buying it unless it was an XT dash. Anyone know if the digidashes are the same or different for these items:FWD/4WD? 86, 87, 87.5 model years? Were all XT's green...or some of those orange? auto/manual? BirdMobile
85-86 Red Digi-dash 87-88 Green Digi-dash From my research, they are apparently not interchangeable, wired differently apparently. I'm going to be working on mine (1986) in a few weeks, I'll post anything I learn about it. P.S. Gary - did you get my email re: EJ22 ECU? . . KiwiGL
Can confirm 87-88 was green, my old turbo wagon had one. After that they went orange before ditching them. That's 228000km, not miles. Edited October 17, 2014 by KiwiGL
naru
Unbelievably, parts book shows 28 different numbers fot XTs 85-89. 14 for Canada,14 for the US 86s,87s and 87 1/2s all different 86 autos were different FWD and 4WD,86 manuals are the same for both My brain hurts from looking at all the different ones,but,87 and 87 1/2 look similar Got any part numbers? Gloyale
Can confirm 87-88 was green, my old turbo wagon had one. After that they went orange before ditching them. You got it backwards.....at least for the US. 85/86 were orange 87-89 were Green. All XT digidash in the US I've seen are orange....and completely different dashes than the Wagon/Sedan The reason so many different part #s is that some had lights others did not for Automatic gears and 4wd or FWD, Height adjust or not.....etc.... idosubaru
wowsers. it's new so it didn't "come out" of anything and i'm uncertain of anything except it's an XT digidash (i think!) i scoured it for part numbers, nothing. FWD/AWD, auto/manual should be obvious at least. **** were FWD turbo XT's air suspension or not? year may be tricky to determine - unless it plugs into my XT6 or XT Turbo then i'll know it's an 87.5...maybe. guess i'll have to plug it in and see what it does or try to inspect some of the text on it. Gloyale
I think only 4wd/awd XTs got the air suspension. And some with air suspension are not Digidash......so yeah.... can you post pics of the dash??? My books show all XT digidash as being the same other than options like auto indicators/height/4wd...etc.. So what ever it is it should plug into an XT if it's XT dash. Gloyale
oh wow.....that's just the LCD display....not a whole dash. Definately XT......no idea what year or model...If you had the rest of a dash to fit it to, I could tell you how to light up individual functions. idosubaru
ah, i should have titled this thread "XT digi-dashes" - the EA82's are notably different, i should have known that.
