81MV
Hi folks Amongst my stash of Subaru parts is a cardboard box full of these... can anyone tell me what it is & for which model(s)? It's just under a couple of inches in diameter (smaller than an EA81 fuel filter) and if you look down the larger of the two "pipes", there looks to be a spring inside. Thank you! Gloyale
Not a check valve. Looks like the Bowl Vent valve for carbed models.
jono
does it have a brand name, logo or part number in its moulding/casting ? thinking you wil find Hitachi logo - two boxes of different axis inside a circle ? two ports same size as each other, so figure it is an interuptor valve of air or vapours controlled by a vacuum applied to the smaller port ...for starters Edited October 18, 2014 by jono

Subaru "wing in a circle" moulded on the shoulder near the top port (just visible in the last of the 3 photos above)...
