comatosellama
SOLVED I replaced my knock sensor by taking off the intake and then the throttle body since I have very big hands, and now when I turn it on the car goes to 5k rpm and stays there. Any ideas? I also relocated the knock sensor to a higher position as per suggestion somewhere on rs25, do you think that's the problem? porcupine73
Hm, are you sure the throttle is completely closed? I'm guessing you mean you took off the intake snorkus tubing and not the intake manifold?

Nope, I took off the metal bit where the butterflies are and moved it to get to the knock sensor, along with the snorkus
porcupine73
Hm ok, I'm thinking the throttle isn't completely closed or there is a vacuum leak now.
Fairtax4me
You either have a huge vacuum leak or the throttle cables are adjusted way too tight. Did you remove just the throttle body? Or the entire manifold?
lmdew
Cable off the cam? Pull the air intake and make sure the throttle plate is completely closed. Have someone push on the gas pedal and you can watch it move. Full closed to full open.

Or the entire manifold? Turned out to be both
