Godsmulligan
Is there a way to bypass the O2 sensor? Do I even need it if I'm installing a Webber?
Gloyale
You don't need it at all if you have a carb. Espescially not a weber.
Godsmulligan
That's what I figured, but if I don't hook it up won't my ECS light stay on?
lilySapphire
Gloyale, or anyone else reading this. Could you explain why you don't need the O2 sensor if you have a weber? I'm a mechanical noob and trying to learn.
Gloyale
Remove the computer and throw it away. You have a weird model that used a computer and some solenoids to alter the mixture by increasing or decreasing the amount of air allowed to mix with the fuel. Most of these systems don't work anymore.......and the Car will still run with the ECU unplugged. And then If you install a weber.......you will be removeing all the stuff that the ECU controlled anyhow. Ditch it all. The on;y wire that the weber needs is 12v "key on" power to the electric choke. Godsmulligan
Ok cool. Thanks. Wow, ditch the whole computer. Makes sense. Once theemissions are gone I can't think of anything it would be controlling.
