JC20
Could someone please take a look at my timing marks in order to verify.I think left side (driver side) is just a touch off,but I can't seem to get it any closer without moving the other two. Any suggestions? Or is this good? Thanks
heartless
look good to me and I have done several. pull the tensioner pin and fire it up.
porcupine73
The LH sprocket will likely roll back just slightly to be right on the mark when the tensioner pin is pulled, at least that's how it's been on the ones I've done. An important thing is the belt marks are lining up.
lmdew
Yep, your good. Pull the tensioner pin and turn it over manually 4 times, making sure everything is OK.
JC20
So I pulled the pin rotated the engine and left side hash mark is still off. I figure this still ok?

1 Lucky Texan
is there a tooth count for this engine? I had a situation with a different engine where everything, including toohcounts, was dead-on, but the LS cam was just a little 'tight'. like, almost exactly 1/2 tooth. Any change I could have made would have altered the toothcount AND missed the marks on the belt. I called it good enough. Fairtax4me
Perfecto! The left side is often half a tooth either side of the mark in the cover. In this situation you want to advance the cam slightly clockwise. As the belt ages and stretches the difference will be made up. Fire it up! dp213
I just did my belt yesterday and it looked almost identical to your line up. Mine runs great.
