Nico
well I have owned it for all most a year now, I been slowly working on it and getting it ready for my next project DD car. 1992 Subaru Loyale AWD Wagon 110,000kms all Original... Ver : Canada this is when I first got it its not in bad shape but the original owner never really took care of it body wise, so once I took the mud guards off there was holes starting on the panels. so it was time to restore this nice clean wagon and make it into a super sport wagon. I gutted it and did a massive washing in the summer sand blast powder coated will be done on allot of things the inside is nice and clean all original again so after getting the inside to a respectable shape, it was time to do something about this body. Nico
my JDM broacher inspiration time to get to work on this beauty panel bond 3M the wind shield was cracked and need a new one, the replacement was done by a butcher and never cleaned the channels and rust started all around the window so that all need some rust care and the metal is all good up there ! new wind shield is on the way also all the body work done with new metal even the front fenders since I couldn't find new... I ordered some fenders from the wreckers in Las Vegas California to be sure there was no rust all most done now, new OEM Subaru hood painted and roof.. glass is going in this week and I cant wait to drive it again Edited November 17, 2014 by Nico
nick1208
That will be awesome if you can get it to look like the advertisement. Awesome to see another thread by you, loved what you did with the sedan, can't wait to see where the wagon goes!

Loyale 2.7 Turbo
Very Few of those Factory two-tone painted, Touring Wagons I've seen in person, but there are some in Latin America, those came with LADM (Latin American Domestic Market) Specs, which means whatever the factory could stuff on them, because there are not much requirements, except the LHD and Seat Belts... Here is one example, you can see that the letters behind are in Spanish: Subscribed. That doesn't look like a touring wagon though. No raised roof Yes, I don't see the Roof Raised, so is not a "Touring" wagon, but that doesn't mean that your project is not Awesome... after seeing what you did with your sedan, this wagon might be Beyond Awesome for sure. Kind Regards. Edited February 17, 2015 by Loyale 2.7 Turbo
KiwiGL
Pity it's not a proper 'Touring Wagon' per se... Makes me want my old tourer back, but that was beyond my ability to restore. I love the JDM wagons, one of my friend's mums used to have a JDM wagon EXACTLY the same as the one in that brochure. Same two-tone colour, turbo stickers etc. Only difference was theirs was the 87-89 model (mirrors not on doors) and it had white 14" 8-spokes, kinda like minilites but a bit different. I love how skinny those snow tyres are, they look great although would make the handling a bit dodgy when you EJ it. Awesome to see another thread by you, loved what you did with the sedan, can't wait to see where the wagon goes!thank you, I wont make this insane like my sedan but I do have lots of spare stuff to make it rather fun to drive all year long. Subscribed. That doesn't look like a touring wagon though. No raised roofyep your right, I loved the look of the sport wagon so I'm going to copy it a bit with out the raised roof Yes, I don't see the Roof Raised, so is not a "Touring" wagon, but that doesn't mean that your project is not Awesome... after seeing what you did with your sedan, this wagon might be Beyond Awesome for sure. Kind Regards. thank you, but this will be a simple build more fun in all the season with road trips in mind.. Pity it's not a proper 'Touring Wagon' per se... Great post.thank you, the add made me want to do this project for sure... as for my camera I just use my iphone 5S nothing special.. well its back home all painted restored and new glass new hood and the repair to the lower section... crappy I have to daily drive it in the Canada winter with all this salt on the roads !.. ill oil spray it like crazy before and after I put the car back together. Those Enkeis are the EXACT same wheels that were on my friend's mum's JDM Touring Wagon! I love the design, they are my favourite EA82 wheels by far, and will look awesome freshly powdercoated! Good find and I can't wait to see them fitted, pity I can't see them in the flesh as they look even better then. Blast from the past much. Good find and I can't wait to see them fitted, pity I can't see them in the flesh as they look even better then. Blast from the past much. lol well if you ever come to canada you can come by and check some stuff out... there is lots of sets for sale in japan most of them are 13" but when these came up I had to have them.. im really liking those seats wish i had those . i have 03 wrx bugeye seats in my loyale and they match very nice also its got the same fabric its really close in the loyales... I found out that there actually 1999 chevy lumina police pak seats... there is a sandy brown style also. so since I have lots of time waiting for my japanese seat bases to come in, I decided to strip the seats down wash the covers and i called up recaro usa for some new padding for the bottoms... also these seats have some type of fire proof stuff on them the grey padding on all the foam.. once you peel it all off you get a better depth in bolsters comfort.. also got the lower seat fabric stitched up better common problem with these seats is the fabric splits and you have a hole.. Nico
Nice looking wagon, inside and out!never mind my wagon.. I seen your build thread yours is amazing, I wish I could still find something like that in canada !.. suspension came in from KYB, new shocks should freshen the ride back up and since I'm sticking with my 4x140 bolt pattern and oem knuckles, got my brakes sand blasted and powder coated red, also go my brake lines made up in SS braided lines. new rotors and pads are on the way along with new seals so I can rebuild everything and add TURBO disc brakes on the rear.. funny thing is one front STi brembo calliper has the same amount of pistons as all four of my brake combined haha
Nico
oem front brakes rebuilt with all oem Subaru stuff new bolts here and there and the rear control arms with some poly bushings for better handling.. now I can add the xt6 20mm sway bar I got to match the front 20mm.. and my summer rims have arrived, sand blasting and new paint job should make them look sweet again..

Nico
jeez this is going to look amazing I hope the gold looks ok on the lower black, will have to wait till summer to see the wheels on... I might strip the hole car and paint it all one colour. Needs some fogs! lol I got a hole collection of fogs over here... I want to add them but then I dont... well I just love recaro... new foam still can be ordered from recaro for these seats after installation of the fresh washed fabric ready to go in the wagon.. I think its a perfect match, these seats feel right at home in the wagon. JDM seat rails still made for these Leone models.. Juran racing from japan, best part is you buy the base and the sliders come with the base welded all up ready to go http://www.tanida-web.co.jp/Pages/railpage/rail_match_subaru2013.html http://www.tanida-web.co.jp/

Hey Nico - Got any more details of the weathershield ? ( The metal bit that goes over the top of door window & is attached to the gutter ) Wondering if it could be modified to fit on a Brumby ... Cheers, Banum ... i have seen them on the brumby in japan but only the square head light ones... the way it stays on is steal tabs. its like the gc8 rain guards.. i'm pretty sure the gc8 or legacy new styles will also fit on the same way and might actually work on the old subarus.. never tried but its pretty close Edited February 9, 2015 by Nico
