l75eya Posted November 24, 2014 Share Posted November 24, 2014 If moving the driveshaft out of the way will help, go for it. It's pretty easy to move it enough out of the way for you to work. Four 12 mm bolts attaching it to the diff, 2 14mm bolts for the carrier bearing. Once the 4 in the back are out it'll slip right off the diff. Once the two carrier bolts are out, you can just drop it down out of the way without removing it from the trans. It just slides out of the back of the trans though, so be careful you don't let it come all the way out or gear oil will leak. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
