newbie question. slight front lift?

I got new hubs and put some 195/75/14's on my 1984 subaru gl and was wondering if there is anyway to lift/raise the front maybe half a inch or a inch easly? The tires I have rub the outter fender slightly when I turn to the right. I don't want to hammer or cut it cause this car is in almost perfect condition. Thanks!

If you look at your front struts, just under the lower spring saddle, you will see a large nut. You'll need a thin wrench to adjust it up. I don't recall the size offhand, but you generally have to go buy a wrench and grind it down to fit in there. Since you just got new tires, I would have it aligned after raising it, as even 1/2" is going to affect the toe.

I would try cranking it up maybe just half way first and see if that gives the clearance you need. The more you crank it up the more wear you will get on the outside edge of your front tires. Also more strain on your inside DOJ axle boots. On my 87 Brat I also ever so lightly rolled the front edge on the fender lip in and trimmed the inside edge of the mud flap which helped a lot when I had 195/75 all terrain tires mounted. Being you paid for a front end alignment I guess you don't know how to adjust your toe out on the front end. I increased mine about a turn on each side after raising mine the full inch. Tires still wore a little quicker than they should have and inside axle boots didn't last as long either. But after 10k miles I was able to drop my front end all most all the way down with no scraping.
