Robert11
Hello, Live in new England, outside of Boston. Have usually a fair amount of snow here, but nothing like northern Maine or Minn. Son just bought a new 2015 Outback Premium i. Was bvry surprised to see that they came with Bridgestone Dueler HP Sport A/S tires. Has Subaru been using this tire as OEM in New England for "a while" now ? All over, or just New England ? Frankly know nothing about this tire, but am concerned. Is this tire a "decent" snow tire ? Is it considered a true All-Weather tire ? Am very concerned how good it is in snow, as the car is for my son and daughter in law. Any thoughts or opinions on the tire in snow conditions and ice would be most appreciated. Thanks, Bob
Fairtax4me
A/S would stand for All Season, which only means it passes certain criteria for traction and braking characteristics at a wide temperature range. "All Season" doesnt mean its a snow tire. Tirerack.com has some great articles in their tech section explaining the differences in tire ratings such as the difference between a "Snow" tire, and a "Mud and Snow" or "All Season" rating.
