Hey fellas, I am about to do the timing belt on my 07 Impreza, 5 speed. Does anybody have any advice as what I need to check and or replace? Right now i am at 96,000 and haven't had a problem with the Subie. So, please, any advice is appreciated.

105,000 mi. The idlers and tensioner will fail before the belt itself. It may last to 150000 mi before it fails

Recommend buying a T-belt, idler, and pulley kit for your car off e-bay. Best price, and good quality. Also, install a new water pump since you have done all the labor to have it available right in front of you. Just be sure you know what you are doing in lining up the T-belt properly. Do it wrong, and you will damage the valves in your engine. That will be expensive to fix.

get a tensioner too. My 06 WRXes was very weak.
