moosens
I'll be sure to set what I find aside for you. There's a box of mixed stuff I have that still has some 72-3 stuff in it. Nothing too great as I recall but I'm pretty sure I or ctsuba have those cool bumper guards. I can picture in my mind ctsuba's pile of those early glove boxes. We have some NOS rear panels. Might be a 72-3 in there. Dome light almost certain we both have. Trunk lid , maybe and NOS ! Winter is here and storage not so easy to deal with but I'll keep all in mind and hopefully get stuff off before Your winter.
Subafreak
I have sadly decided it's time to let my 73 coupe and my over crowding collection of parts for it go. I'm pretty sure I have a pretty nice rear weather strip for it. I just need to double check the dimensions to be sure. I should also have the glove box liner and some okish quarter window gaskets. Datsunrides
Sorry to hear your letting it go. I have thought the same with mine a few times with the difficulty in finding rubber parts. Once you get the chance to check your stuff, shoot me a PM and let me know. Mark
moosens
So far that car has gone from an apple orchard in Washington to and industrial park in CT to another location to TN then back to CT east of the river ......and hasn't run yet. moosens
And how many years ??? Lol But you've gotta pass the torch and hope it doesn't die off.
Subafreak
It is ashame. I have most of the parts to put it together, but the only way to save that body is to tube frame it or try to graft it to another chassis. That was kinda my plan with it from the start but since all I've done is take it apart in the past 4 years I don't see it happening.
Datsunrides
I didn't realize it was that bad. Sounds kinda like the car I got out of OK for parts. Basically everything from under the rear seats back was GONE. Saved as much as I could before scrapping it. I dig the early coupes, but there is a limit to how much work/money I'm willing to put into one. I mean, it's not like there's a pot of gold at the end of the rainbow..................... Subafreak
Yes. It's funny how the Brats and wagons can bring in so much money considering how rare the coupes were. But they are still awesome!
Subafreak
The rear window gasket I have is definitly for a coupe. It was around a peice of glass labeled 74 GL. Here it is laying over the back of my 73.
Subafreak
Here is an overall look. In the lite.
Subafreak
And some close ups. It's got some dry rot and some imperfections as it is original and seems to have been removed from a car for some reason. But it's in a lot better shape than what's on my car and my 74 sedan for that matter.
Datsunrides
BUMP I highlighted in green the stuff I will need soon. I fully expect to start reassembly in July and it would be nice to have the rubbers, if any exist. Paul, Nolan???? Hell, if someone has a good section of the weatherstrip I could try and match up with universal stuff that would help. All the door and quarter rubber was totally roached on mine. moosens
Sure will try as I need to attack storage badly. Rubber - The Great Restoration Dilema
djcommie
I think I have the little stainless steel corner pieces for that glass, the set I have is slightly different than the ones for the windshield, and I always wondered what they could have been for. Do you still want those NOS shocks? I think I have the bushings for them as well
