roadsubiedog
my daughter needs set of tires for 2006 Subaru gt sedan that has 17 inch rims. I have a fairly new set of winter tires on a 97 legacy with 14 inch rims. can she use the 14 inch rims and tires to replace her 17 inch rims? if they have same bolt pattern ? would it hurt the transmission? johnceggleston
i don't think , (EDITED) 15" AND 16" would ............ work. but some one with 06 experience will need to confirm. Edited January 6, 2015 by johnceggleston
86BRATMAN
Not on an 06 GT, the smallest wheel that clears is a 17". Their brakes are quite big.
shortlid
will 15" 5X100 bolt pattern wheels fit a '03 Legacy GT that has factory 16" on it?
idosubaru
will 15" 5X100 bolt pattern wheels fit a '03 Legacy GT that has factory 16" on it? i don't think they will - 03 is around the time Subaru went to the larger of the two earlier rotors...there was like a 10.7" and 11.3" or something like that.... but 15" will clear some dual pot front calipers - in those cases it depends on the wheels - some 15" will clear and some won't - i think 15" steel Subaru wheels will not....jamal's brake caliper thread has a fairly extensive listing of brakes and what wheels clear them.
