DaveT
Well, I have disassembled 6 of my spare front struts. And every single one of the bumpers that would limit the travel when bottoming out are crumbling / crumbled. So I imagine the ones on my 2 cars are bad also. What options are there for replacement? OEM or Aftermarket? Anything that is an upgrade? What improvement would it be? I am running 4WD EA82 Wagons, no other suspension mods. I just got a pair of the Sachs struts with the adjustable ride height so that's what is going on the car. I'll do the second one when this one is done, assuming there is an improvement. two85s
I'd like to know what you came up with or decided on. My wagon needs the struts replaced on all four corners. Everything is stock. I would prefer a stronger strut in the back if possible so I could carry more weight. But I don't know what if any would bolt on or fit without difficult modification. Also bolts, washers, dustcovers, spacers etc, should be replaced too? All the best, Aaron

somick
I eliminated them on my 2wd 92 Loyale rears. It has been a year since I did it, and I had no problems so far. Sam
AWD J3wman
I've got a set of XT front struts on OEM coils and rear miata Bilstein struts with ground control coilovers. Even with Monroe struts with generic coilover sleeves it handled so much better.
two85s
Currently my wagon is all stock circa 1985 suspension for a GL D/R non-turbo. So should coils and struts need replacing or really just struts? What about the dust cover and/or bumper part? Thanks
turbosubarubrat
I have new f-350 rear shocks on my ea81 hatch back for my 6" lift. They are stiffer than stock. Then it will have new used kyb struts in the front off a ea82t gl-10 sedan. I'm tempted to try to get a set of air shocks now since I have al the stuff to do it minus the struts.
