dudesmccool
I think I lost my timing cover bolts for my ej22 (it's been about 6 months since I've worked on her). Embarrassing as he'll, but can someone send me a pic of what they look like. Thanks
MilesFox
The bolts are shouldered, being about 3/4 inch long, the top part 8mm wide and the thread shank m6x1.00. The head has a flange and is 10mm hex. Teh lower bolts are about an inch long all thread 6x1.00 thread and 10mm head.m Edited January 12, 2015 by MilesFox
dudesmccool
Fox, Where can I buy some if I can't find them?
MilesFox
You might have to combo some nylon bushings with metric hardware to invent your own. These will be certainly dealer or salvage absolable only. It never hurts to ditch the covers anyway

mickytrus
I concur... Ditch the covers. Best thing I ever did.... I run with the backs just not the front of the covers.... I could say there are disadvantages to not having covers but, way better when it comes to swap out another belt.... Just use anti-sieze on the tensioner bolts and the idler bolt..... I need to use it due to the environment.....
idosubaru
use zipties instead of bolts - then you'll never have to worry about them rusting, stripping the heads due to rust, or stripping the inner inserts..spinny spin fun...
