jsrober
Hi, I recently purchased a 2015 Impreza Sport Limited. On page 23 of the manual there are numerous settings that can be changed. These include the time-out for the headlights after you leave the car, whether the hazard lights flash when you use the keyless remote to lock the car, etc. The manual says that a Subaru dealer must make changes to these settings. I don't like this. I want to make these changes myself. Does anyone know what kind of device the Subaru dealer uses to change these settings? Is there documentation that explains this? Why would Subaru lock me out from customizing my own car?! Why would they make me waste my time going ot a dealer? Don't they value my time and my gas and the polution to the environment? This is pretty inconsistent with my image of Subaru. John
Fairtax4me
All of those changes have to be done via Subaru Select Monitor, which is Subaru's diagnostic and communication interface. Check with your dealer, most will make any changes for free when you take the car in for its regular service.
