After 15 years, I finally bought another Subaru!

Recommended Posts

Its hard to believe that it has been so long since I got rid of my 1986 GL Wagon.  I took a road trip to Boone, NC right after I bought the new (to me) car and an old GL parked right next to me at a restaurant.  Anyway, I am very pleased with the car.  I guess this is the wrong forum for this new car, but you guys were always my people, so I just wanted to show off the new wheels.

It is a great area for Subarus! They are everywhere! My brother lives there and is currently looking for a replacement for his 99 outback wagon.

I never skied grandfather, but I did break my back at Beech once...

This old GL in picture was actually spotted down the mountain in the town of High Point.

I am pretty stoked on the Forester. I always wanted a turbo subi. My friend bought this one brand new in Norfolk. He lives in Newport, RI now, so it hasn't seen that much road salt. He replaced the struts with some sportier units, so she rides a little lower than stock. He added a boost gauge and a nicer GPS/stereo unit, but by and large, it's all stock. The only thing I wish it had was the giant Forester sunroof, oh well. Overall, I am super stoked on the Subaru!

Hey Paul,

I am heading down to VA at the beginning of Feb to see a UVA basketball game with my brother and my Old Man.  It has been decades since they were any good, so we are going to savor the moment.

I may stop overnight on the way if I get out of work late on Friday night.  Maybe we could grab a beer?

Can't believe you met the man behind Mosrite guitars!!  Deke Dickerson is one of my favorites, and I think he bought the company, or something like that??

So yeah, I'm back to driving a Subaru which is a step in the right direction, but someday, I still want another EA car, maybe a convertible.
