subinewby
I took the coupe out muddling the other day and was on my way out of the mud going up a slight hill had it in 2wd and heard a snap and it was just spinning. So I put it in 4 hi and made it home. I'm in Texas and there's not alotta Subaru mechanics. What do y'all think it might be that I need to fix. Any help is appreciated. SuperBrat
Yep agree........ stripped hub probably on passenger side Edited February 3, 2015 by SuperBrat
Beaudean
Or you snapped the rollpin. If so most likely it's the on the passenger side. Hopefully it's not a striped stub shaft.

Flowmastered87GL
If you stripped a hub the cause is often a loose axle nut (the washers have to go on a certain way to keep it right properly) At least that was the case on my 87.
