thedrew
Hey Folks, I have a 97 Legacy Outback, with a brand new engine it. It has a strange quirk that I'm trying to figure out. When I'm coasting (winding the engine, injectors off) when I hit the throttle, the power sometimes comes on hard, rather than being smooth. Its pretty noticable in like 4th gear cruising along trying to keep the same speed. When it does this, I can slowly hit the throttle, nothing will happen, then all of a sudden the power comes on hard. Its has a new MAF, new TPS. No codes are thrown, I've checked for intake leaks, can't find any. Any other ideas? Edited February 3, 2015 by thedrew
1 Lucky Texan
would it behave the same with the cruise control? auto trans? did it do this before the engine swap?
thedrew
Umm, I haven't messed around with the cruise control. Manual Trans Yes, it did this before the swap.
