Egr swap

Recommended Posts

The EGR subject on the EA82 engine, could be like open a Can of Worms, but the fact is that you might need to have the EGR in good working conditions to pass emissions test; otherwise I suggest to you Erase it from the engine, by Removing the Vacuum operated valve and closing the Passages; because the EGR design on the EA82 is pretty unhealthy for the engine, affecting one cylinder the most...

The Newest designed Heads for the EA82, which were the Third Gen Heads, came from factory without EGR passage.

You can see photos of those three gens of EA82 Heads, ~► Here.

Kind Regards.

The EGR I was given was from a 97 Leg and I turned out that the hose size was 1/8 as opposed to the 1/4 of the Loyale's. I took your advice and just deleted the EGR all together. There's no emissions requirements in NH for pre ODBII vehicle's.
