swap ej22-radiator tig?

hey!

ej22 is running!

but upper and lower hose cannot fit to engine from GL's radiator.

I have 2 of 1 1/2" adapter pipe for coolant hose.

 

so, it's good idea use tin weld for pipe on steel or alum radiator?

any advised!

You could also just get universal flex hose as well.

You can't weld steel to aluminum. Not with any reliability. You'll need to find hoses that fit. That means taking a coat hanger, bending it to match the hose routing and then taking it to a parts place that will let you in back to peruse their hose collection. Unless someone here already knows what hoses you need.

The other trick is to get the GL radiator hose, cut it on the straight after the first bend off the rad, do the same for the EJ hose off the engine

Get an exhaust shop to get a piece of pipe in the smaller size & flare it to match the bigger pipe. Use copper pipe as it's easier to stretch with less heat.

Exhaust shop may already have a flaring type pipe.

if so, Get them to weld on straight pieces as required, and also get them to run a bead around the outside edge so the hoses don't pull off.

Ej22 in an EA82 body? I am pretty sure that I used stock Legacy hoses with Napa 1 1/4" - 1 1/2" hose adapter fitted inside a NEW hose with urethane window adhesive. Many miles and no problem. I have pics if needed in the "Royal Loyale" thead.
