espey_16
Hey guys I guess there's a Guinness world record attempt for the longest parade of subaru cars on the 8th at 10 am in Tenino wa. Anyone else know anything about this?
Turbone
https://www.facebook.com/events/320539081487595 http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/showthread.php?t=2698124 At first I wasnt going to go because of having to email registration in. I was able to do it in person last weekend so I'll be there. Also, the staging for it is in Tenino and moving up to Oly for the record attempt.
espey_16
Ok cool. I might renegade Earl to it and have the girlfriend drive the new suby (just bought a 2011 forester).
ezapar
They should have started organizing this with 6 months to spare, not one month. I doubt more than 150 cars will show up.
joe5
This looks like the link for registering...so I guess you gotta register haha... http://steevano61.wix.com/warrenrallysport#!record/c1us
Loyale 2.7 Turbo
They should have started organizing this with 6 months to spare, not one month. I doubt more than 150 cars will show up. Normally I would agreed with that statement, but since the "Massive" use of different social networks, the information reaches much Faster to more People, and that situation compensates the lack of enough preparing time; however I would prefer an announcement of at least two months before the Event. It is a shame that I live too far away, otherwise my "BumbleBeast" would showed there for sure... Kind Regards.
Loyale 2.7 Turbo
The following information was copied from the Official Facebook page: If you really are coming, get your registration in at subarurecord@yahoo.com Don't wait until the day of the event or you risk not being counted if we have too many people trying to register same day. Pre-registration is for YOUR convenience on event day! It might be useful here, for those who will like to participate.Kind Regards.
ezapar
There are only some 70 cars registered so far. They planned an early in the day event that doesn't allow enough time for folks to register on site.
joe5
I say we create some momentum! I'm gonna do it and I'm tryin to get people pumped about it too!
joe5
But dang...6am is pretty early. That makes it tough to get there from a distance
ezapar
I'm gonna take the Jeep out to the cabin and get some mud in my eye instead. When they try this again next year with an actual plan, I'll join up.
joe5
Naysayer! and doing it for a jeep too! Sounds like treason to me jk haha but nah its all good. I feel ya, it'd be nice if things were worked out more before making the big commitment to get over there. A later start time would make it easier for out of towners for sure. Who knows, if some momentum picks up i'd still do it!
Turbone
Went and had a good time. 250 Subaru's showed up, a little short of the 371 needed to break the record. Another attempt will be made late summer, so stand by. This time it will be planned better. I'll try and get a few pics up soon.
