Aluxes
Hey everyone Im back. Had a problem with connecting to the site. Couldnt access for the last few months. Anyways I bought a used EJ22 that is supposed to be a 97 MY. It does have single port heads, but that doesnt mean its a 97. Im rebuilding the heads and need a couple new intake valves, valve seals, and springs. Already have the Deltas I took the numbers off the block, from the drivers side where it bolts to the trans, and called the dealership. They couldnt tell me and they even called subaru and still couldnt tell me. So how do I determine the year? I need to get these parts so I can finish the heads. Any help would be appreciated! Fairtax4me
96-98 2.2 heads are single port. 97-98 have solid (screw type) lash adjusters. That's the only difference. 2.2 heads are otherwise the same from 90-98.

These heads do have the solid lash adjusters. Cool. As long as the valves and other parts are the same im good to move forward. Thanks for the info Fairtax!! Fairtax4me
99 heads are entirely different as far as I know.
ccrinc
The part # for the exhaust valves (the only part # I could put my hands on right away) is 13202AA112. These fit 1990-98. They should be able to match the intakes from that number. The '99-03 EJ22 is totally different.
