d8usti5n Posted March 18, 2015 Share Posted March 18, 2015 So I recently went to install both front axels on my lifted 87 GL but everytime after installing them and putting the roll pins in, the drivers side axel would chew up the roll pin and the axel would come loose from the transmission. Crazyeights Posted March 18, 2015 Share Posted March 18, 2015 (edited) It sounds like you might be using a 25 spline (Turbo style) front CV axle in a 23 spline (non Turbo) car. If the axle fits on the stub of the transmission with lots of slop then it's not right. The roll pin will fail almost instantly.
