Wasteland
OK i'm putting a clutch in a friends '85 GL hatch tomorrow. We'll be pulling the engine rather than dropping the tranny. So while it's out I'm doing oil pump gasket and seal, oil pressure unit, pan gasket, T stat, CV's axles, along with the clutch and all bearings and seals in the bell housing. I'll also do a rad flush and ATF engine flush, and break bleed. So my question is, what else should we do while we're in there? Thanks for any suggestions. NoahDL88
don't worry bout the cam seals and the timing belts, it dosn't have them, no worries, i've fallen into that trap too. It wouldn't be a bad time to clean around the engine bay, i had a whole bunch of dirt and oil built up on the inside of my engine bay, i off road so if you don't do that that shouldn't be a problem, but in general a clean car is an easy car to work on. northguy
Spray the lower half of the engine compartment with undercoating to guard against rust.
